Opening your homeschool can be as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the laws for homeschooling in your area. If you’re in the US or Canada, you can do that here on the HSLDA website.
Step 2: Research different teaching methodologies and choose one (or two!) that match the vision you have for your homeschool. Don’t be afraid to be flexible. Your family’s and your child’s needs may change over time. The video “5 Flavors of Homeschooling” on YouTube is a great place to start. You can watch it here.
Step 3: Choose a curriculum that matches that teaching style. Once you’ve decided how your homeschool will look, now it’s time to choose a curriculum that will help bring that vision to life! Cathy Duffy Reviews is an amazing resource for helping you narrow down the overwhelming amount of options. Checkout her blog here.
