It’s that time of year again when your social media is filled with pictures of happy graduates and proud parents. Is this an experience you’re afraid your homeschooler is going to miss out on? Absolutely not! There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding homeschooling in general, but especially about homeschooled graduates. Let’s clear some of that up.
Homeschoolers do receive legitimate diplomas, rewarded by the administrator (usually the parent) when they have decided the student has met the requirements. You can order your student’s diploma from the website HomeschoolDiploma.com or the HSLDA store website.
A homeschooler’s diploma is recognized for college applications as well as job applications. Colleges, even Ivy leagues, actually encourage even actively seek out homeschoolers to apply. Homeschoolers attend and graduate college at a rate equal to or higher than their peers. They lead very successful lives after graduation.
Homeschooling a high schooler can be intimidating but it doesn’t have to be hard. In our private homeschooling community, you’ll find years of experience and lots of support from the other parents. We’d love to cheer you on!
