Mornings set the tone for your entire day. Rigorous routines may not be a good idea, but it sets a good example to have a rhythm so your children know what is expected of them. Here are 3 tips for a successful start to your homeschool day!
1. No screens! Screen time can be educational, but limit it in the morning. A good current events news show for children like World Watch may be a good idea, but Roblox is not.
2. Eat a healthy breakfast and cleanup together! The proper nutrition can mean all the difference in how your day goes, homeschooling or not. Be sure to include protein in your meals and vitamins that support brain health. It’s so important to learn good habits and good manners, also. Promote working together by cleaning up the kitchen and dining area.
3. Morning baskets are more than just a cool trend! You can include things like Morning menus, devotionals, hymnals, folk songs, artist studies, poetry, etc. Starting your day with an interesting topic to study together, or a religious devotional promotes family togetherness and unity.
