This is one of my favorite tricks for teaching children about healthy nutrition. Here’s how it works:
1. Once a month, choose a snack or candy from the grocery store.
2. Teach your child how to read the ingredient list and choose one ingredient off that list.
3. Go to Google and search side effects associated with that ingredient.
4. Print out this chart and have your child write down the ingredients and the side effects.
5. Put the chart on the fridge where your family can see it every day.
Just make sure you do it in a natural way that it’s a lifestyle, because you don’t have to scare them. We just want to teach them.
