One of the questions I get from many parents new to homeschooling is this: “Is Classical Learner accredited?”
Wikipedia defines accreditation as, “the independent, third-party evaluation of a conformity assessment body against recognized standards, conveying formal demonstration of its impartiality and competence to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks.”
The short answer is no. Schools, not curriculum, can be accredited. Large companies like Abeka or K12 are online schools and are accredited, but not any curriculum. Most public schools are not even accredited. Accreditation does not affect whether your child will receive a good education, earn a diploma and graduate, or be accepted into good colleges.
