One question I get often is, “Where can I learn about true history?”
The answer lies somewhere in the careful balance of primary documents, firsthand sources, and historical books that are older than the textbooks in use today. Here are a few books that I recommend. These are “living books” that have been used for teaching history to students for the last 100+ years. Don‘t discount them because they are older. This means they will be free of modern agendas, political correctness and other woke garbage. They will also be full of rich storytelling and advanced vocabulary words.
The great thing is, books older than 95 years are available for free to read online on websites like Project Gutenberg. Of course, with any book, always pre-screen the text before reading with children.
