Board games that teach Language Arts concepts:
Good old-fashioned putting the pen to paper is still very effective. Mad Libs is a fun game in which your children will learn the parts of speech without even knowing it. Your local nursing home residents would probably love to receive hand-written letters from children. Pen-pals are a fun way to learn how to address envelopes and the parts of a letter. In our online community, we have a Pen Pals group where students write letters to other children from different parts of the country. These are all great ways to get extra practice with Language Arts Skills.
