This is one of my favorite quotes from Charlotte Mason: “We are all meant to be naturalists, each in his own degree, and it is inexcusable to live in a world so full of the marvels of plant and animal life and to care for none of these things.” Whether you’re giving your child a Charlotte Mason education or not, it’s always a good idea to instill an appreciation of nature in your children. Here are a few nature study guides to get you started:
If you’re looking for more nature study, we’ve created a year long nature study course for members of Classical Learner. Students will go on nature walks, build garden boxes, plant a garden, and sell their vegetables when they’re harvested. They’ll acquire skills, not only in gardening, but also photography, carpentry, and entrepreneurship, just to name a few.
