I am not a fan of excessive screen time, but there are a few shows that can be beneficial to your homeschool day. This list of engaging Educational TV shows cover history and STEM topics, and best of all, your child won’t even realize they’re learning!
- Liberty Kids – a living history show, children experience the major events in the American Revolution and American Revolutionary War.
- The Kratt Brothers – Martin and Christopher Kratt are American zoologists, educational nature show hosts and YouTubers. This brotherly duo have been making TV since you and I were small. Their shows include Kratt’s Creatures, Zooboomafoo, and Wild Kratts.
- Brave Wilderness – Coyote Peterson is an animal expert. He and his crew go on a world of adventure as they search for animals and observe them up close.
- Popular Mechanics for Kids – This is a blast from the past! Based on the famous magazine, this series takes young viewers on a ride to some of the world’s most exciting places where they get a first-hand look and feel of what it takes to operate everything they see.
- The Magic Schoolbus – Do you remember this nostalgic classic? Eccentric teacher Mrs. Frizzle takes her class on fun educational field trips with the help of a magic school bus.
