What if we educated children differently? What if we focused on skills over subject matter? Not that subjects don’t matter. We teach them art, music, construction, computer coding, engineering, because these skills give them the tools to bring what’s in their imagination into physical reality. They can draw, they can compose music, they can construct with their hands, they can create an entire world on their computer. How many times have you had an idea, but no idea how to bring it about to physical reality? A worthy education gives children what I call creative excellence: the ability to take what’s in their mind and bring it into physical reality.
If you want your child to get a good education, you have to do the opposite of what’s happening in public schools. The average 18-year-old graduates and has no real value in the real world, or at least they aren’t aware of the value they actually have. In public schools, children are learning memorization, and are being prepped to be corporate paper pushers. They aren’t learning critical thinking, or the process of learning itself. They aren’t gaining skills or entrepreneurial experience.
These are the three things we focus on at Classical Learner to give your children an education worthy of freedom:
1. Critical Thinking
2. Skill Development
3. Real World Experience
This is the recipe for creative excellence. If we want our children to succeed, this is how we do it.
