Growing up school was a struggle. According to my teachers there was nothing special about me. An average student who spent 45 minutes everyday in the resource room; I was embarrassed but not easily deterred. In 2011 I graduated from Cortland University with a Bachelors Degree in 7-12 History Education. A few years later I graduated from the Queens College Birth-2 Special Education Masters program with a 4.0 GPA and won the award given to the top student in the program. In the years that followed I was blessed to work in the field of education. The work was rewarding and the experience of working with 1’000’s of families was invaluable. Still, something was missing.
In 2019 I turned my attention to grass roots change and started Classical Learner. The company has allowed me to spread my unique educational philosophy while working directly with some of the most dedicated and capable parents the world has to offer. In 2021 Classical Learner launched Homeschools Connected – a platform that assists families in finding the best curriculums, resources, games, and education apps available, while connecting with other like minded parents. I am the author of the Cubs to Bears children’s book series.
