Classical Learner INC – Terms & Conditions

Classical Learner INC (“Classical Learner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides homeschool curriculum, educational resources, live and recorded instruction, and community access under the brand Homeschools Connected (collectively, the “Services”).
By purchasing, subscribing to, accessing, or participating in our Services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Nature of Services

1.1. Not a School.
Classical Learner is not a public or private school. We are not accredited, do not issue diplomas, and do not claim to satisfy compulsory education requirements.

1.2. Educational Support Only.
We provide curriculum, enrichment classes, recorded instruction, and community resources designed to assist parents, who remain the educators of record.

1.3. Parent Legal Responsibility.
Parents/guardians are solely responsible for complying with homeschool laws, recordkeeping, testing, and reporting requirements in their jurisdiction.

1.4. No Educational Guarantees.
We make no representations or guarantees regarding academic performance, credits, admissions, or educational outcomes.

2. Christian Mission

2.1. Faith-Based Organization.
Classical Learner INC is a Christian company. Our content, instruction, and moderation reflect traditional Christian values.

2.2. Right to Moderate Participation.
We reserve the right to restrict or remove participation by any user whose conduct conflicts with this mission.

3. Live Classes & Participation

3.1. Online Delivery.
Classes are conducted via Zoom or similar platforms. Access is a privilege, not a right.

3.2. Classroom Authority.
Teachers and moderators may mute, remove, or restrict participants at their discretion.

3.3. Conduct Requirements.
Participation rules—including naming conventions, behavior, dress standards, and background use—may be updated as needed.

3.4. Parental Supervision Required.
Parents/guardians retain full responsibility for supervising students during participation. Classical Learner does not assume custodial responsibility.

3.5. Adult Attendance.
Adults may not attend classes unless accompanying an enrolled child.

4. Recording & Media Consent

4.1. Consent to Recording.
Live classes and activities may be recorded, including video, audio, chat, and submitted work.

4.2. License Granted.
By participating, you grant Classical Learner a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use recordings for educational, archival, training, promotional, or commercial purposes.

4.3. Minor Consent.
Parents/guardians provide this consent on behalf of participating minors.

5. Student & Parent Information Sharing Responsibility

5.1. Instruction Not to Share.
Students are instructed not to share personal or contact information during participation.

5.2. No Guarantee of Prevention.
We cannot monitor all communications or prevent voluntary sharing outside our control.

5.3. Parent Responsibility.
Parents are solely responsible for supervising their child’s communications and online safety.

5.4. Voluntary Exchange at User’s Risk.
Any exchange of contact information or interaction outside our platform is undertaken entirely at the participant’s own risk.

5.5. No Duty to Investigate.
Classical Learner assumes no obligation to monitor, mediate, or investigate user interactions.

6. Community Participation

6.1. Adult Community.
Community platforms are intended for adult members. Participation is revocable at any time.

6.2. Independent Relationships.
We do not supervise relationships formed between members.

6.3. Participate at Your Own Risk.
Any meetings, collaborations, or communications are voluntary and outside our responsibility.

7. Subscriptions & Accounts

7.1. Household Use Only.
Subscriptions are licensed per household. Sharing credentials is prohibited.

7.2. Automatic Renewal.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the billing date.

7.3. Unauthorized Sharing.
Redistributing class links or materials is prohibited.

8. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

8.1. Monthly Plans.
All monthly subscription sales are final and non-refundable.

8.2. Annual/Bi-Annual Plans.
Refund requests may be submitted within 30 days, excluding the first month’s fee.

8.3. Chargebacks.
Initiating a chargeback after receiving Services constitutes breach of these Terms.

9. Technology Disclaimer

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for outages, internet failures, platform disruptions, or user equipment issues.

10. Merchandise & Third-Party Fulfillment

Some products are fulfilled by third parties. Classical Learner is not responsible for fulfillment errors, delays, or damages caused by those providers.

11. Third-Party Recommendations & Affiliates

We may recommend or link to third-party services and may receive commissions. We are not responsible for their products, safety, or performance.

12. Intellectual Property

All content—including courses, recordings, curriculum, books, branding, and materials—is the exclusive property of Classical Learner INC.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or resale constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action.

13. Suspension or Termination of Access

13.1. License-Based Access.
Access to Classical Learner Services is granted as a limited, revocable license, not a guaranteed right.

13.2. Right to Suspend or Terminate.
Classical Learner INC may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to any user, account, or participant at its sole discretion, including for conduct that we determine to be disruptive, inconsistent with our mission, harmful to other participants, or in violation of these Terms.

13.3. Protection of Community Environment.
We reserve the right to act as necessary to maintain a safe, functional, and mission-aligned environment for families.

13.4. No Refund Upon Termination for Misconduct.
If access is terminated due to violation of these Terms or disruptive behavior, refunds will not be issued.

14. Limitation of Liability

Participation in Services is at your own risk. Classical Learner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our Services.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Classical Learner INC, its owners, employees, and contractors from claims arising out of your participation or breach of these Terms.

16. International Use

Users are responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that Services are appropriate for every jurisdiction.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, illness, war, platform shutdowns, or technical failures.

18. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.

Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Craven County, North Carolina.

Users agree disputes must be brought individually and not as part of any class or collective action.

The prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
